Participation Limitations
In order to be eligible to compete, NEW drivers must have a minimum 2300 iRating Oval, while PREVIOUS drivers must have a minimum 1800 iRating Oval unless otherwise approved by an SCRL Admin. This applies to all accounts a driver owns, even if the account they register to race with has an iRating between the upper and lower iRating limits above.
Exceptions can be made for existing members or members who do not hold a significant pace advantage or disadvantage over the field.
Those members will be accepted on a probationary period until League Administration clears them.
Drivers are required to have a Class C Oval License.
The Stock Car Racing League Truck Series reserves the right to reject any applicant otherwise fitting the above criteria, for any given reason, at any time.
There will not be an Entry Fee to race this season.
To participate in any Chase Race, drivers will be required to make at least SIX (6) starts in the Regular Season.
General Conduct
We will not tolerate drivers who disparage others on a constant basis. Drivers who show disrespect to others are susceptible to chat penalties or possible race bans.
Any member that publicly criticizes and/or disparages the Stock Car Racing League community or its officials may be considered to be acting in an unsportsmanlike manner and may face penalties, including but not limited to points penalties, suspensions or league removal.
Actions or inaction on the part of a competitor that, in the opinion of league administrators results in an unfair advantage to the competitor shall constitute unsportsmanlike conduct and is a breach of the rules.
The Stock Car Racing League will supply a contingency package, including a banner and league logo on the sides. For the regular season which will be REQUIRED, to retain the value of our sponsors.
Chase Drivers will be REQUIRED to run the chase contingencies supplied by the league.
Chase Drivers will be given 1 week to get in compliance. If by Chase Race #2 a driver does not have a chase banner they will be given a 10 point penalty every chase race until the driver does so. (If you need help with applying the banner, reach out to an admin who will help you).
The Stock Car Racing League will only allow paint schemes appropriate for all ages. Liveries shall not be vulgar, or offensive. Drivers are required to have their numbers in between the wheel wells, as seen in the image below.
Provisionals and Substitute Drivers
Drivers will be permitted to request up to two (2) provisionals in a season.
Provisionals will receive 5 pts lower than last (If last place receives 10pts, Provisionals will obtain 5 pts).
If last place obtains less than 5 points, the provisional will receive 1 pt.
There will be no Provisionals given during the chase.
Provisionals must be requested BEFORE the server launches at 7pm ET on race day. League administrators will not apply provisionals for anyone who requests after this time.
Drivers will be permitted to have a substitute driver for select races in the season.
Substitutes will score points for themselves and the original driver under (LOA) for that car number. If the original driver hasn't requested an (LOA) they will receive a provisional (if they have not used both previously).
A substitute driver must use the same car number as the driver they are replacing.
Please submit Provisional and Substitute requests to a League Administrator BEFORE the server launches at 7pm ET on race day (See Rule 3.1.2).

On-Track Procedures
Cautions are automated by default. However, League Admins have the ability to issue cautions in situations where they deem it necessary.
On road courses, League Admins reserve the right to throw a caution for any incident that serves as a significant hindrance to the race. Example: A track blocking crash.
The admin team reserves the right to lengthen or shorten any caution periods as deemed necessary for the sake of competition (i.e. approaching the time limit).
The number of pace laps will be controlled by the sim, but more laps may be added or removed at the discretion of League Admins (ex: if issues are encountered during the pace laps).
In the event of a caution occurring on 2 consecutive restart attempts, League Admins have the ability to revert restarts to single-file.
Restart Rules:
iRacing implemented Restart Zones will NOT be used.
Restart Zones
Drivers MUST go on GREEN for the start of the race, any restart after the initial start will be controlled by the leader which MUST go in the Geico Restart Zone. Black flag clears due to a legitimate infraction on a restart will result in a post-race penalty.
On the initial start of the race, all drivers must maintain pace speed until the flagman displays the green flag. On restarts following a caution, the race leader may accelerate at any point inside of the Geico Restart Zone.
The leader has lane-choice on all restarts, the leader must declare their lane-choice via radio, or text before the 1-to-green signal is given by iRacing. The 2nd-place driver must start in the opposite lane, all other drivers will use their iRacing assigned lane.
On the initial start, the front row must maintain its positioning based on where iRacing dictates.
On all restarts, drivers must maintain their lane until crossing the start/finish line.
Should a driver leave that lane for any reason except to avoid an incident, they may be penalized at post-race by league administration with a points penalty up to 5 points.
Drivers must maintain a consistent gap to the car in front of them when coming to the green flag.
When a caution occurs, the priority for every driver not involved in the crash shall be to catch up to the pace car, avoiding other cars, and slowing as needed. Do not slow down to let cars pass you until caught up to the pace car, black flags will be cleared for passing-under-yellow in those circumstances.
If a driver has damage, and is holding up the field while limping back to the pits after a caution has occurred, they should request an End-of-Line penalty immediately if they don’t do so they can be given a points penalty up to 5 points.
All requested black flag clears will be reviewed post-race. If a driver lies about the reason for a black flag clear, or requests a black flag clear while they have been served a “Meatball Flag”, that driver will be DQ'd post race. We expect all drivers to maintain a fair environment - don't abuse it.
Physically assisting a disabled vehicle in any way (ex: pushing it), is prohibited and may be penalized.
Green-White-Checkered
There will be up to three (3) attempts at ending a race under green.
Pit-Road Conduct
While drivers are not required to call their pit stop, any incident where a car remaining on track runs through the back of a driver that has called their pit stop will result in a post-race penalty for the driver that stayed on track.
If a driver gets run over after not calling their pit stop, no penalty will be assigned to either driver.
During race sessions under caution, all drivers must remain in the “Fast Lane” (the farthest outside lane from the pit stalls) of pit-road when not entering or exiting their pit stall.
Pit stops under green are not required to be single file but are preferred.
Any accident caused by a car darting to the inside of another on pitroad may be penalized upon requested review.
“Ghosting” through the pit stalls when on pitroad is prohibited. We do not want drivers to travel down pitroad driving through all the pit stalls.
Faking onto pit-road that results in a collision on track by someone who intends to stay on the race track will result in a penalty for the driver faking their pit entry. There is no reason for any collisions to occur under yellow.
Passing below the Yellow Line at Superspeedways is Prohibited.
Exceptions can be made in the event that another driver forces you below the yellow line, which in turn may result in the blocking car being penalized.
DISCLAIMER: This is a subjective call. Try to be clear of running on the yellow line at all times.
Tracks this applies to: Daytona, Talladega, Atlanta Superspeedway.
On-Track Conduct
Practice - PLEASE respect other drivers desire to practice uninterrupted. Do not mess around in any areas where drivers are actively trying to get on track time.
Drivers may NOT request an EOL to start the race. Drivers that do not want to start where they qualify should start on pit-road.
On-track incidents can be reviewed post-race by request.
Drivers have until 1 hour after the completion of the event to request a review.
Administration will complete its review within 48 hours of the completion of the event.
Administrators will review all yellows with the intent of compiling data, but will not review, unless requested, incidents with the intent of looking for an infraction. The only exception to this is the last lap, where it will always be reviewed before results are finalized (See Rule 6.5.1).
Admins reserve the right to review all incidents and apply penalties in accordance with the penalty system below.
Multiple incidents (self spins and egregious accidents included) can be penalized with an EOL and/or a Drive Through at the start of the next event.
Post Race Penalties for restart violations (lane changes and laying back) and dangerous driving during accidents (ARCA Braking and not holding brakes during crashes) will follow the penalty scale below:
1st Offense - Warning
2nd Offense - 5pt penalty and EOL to start next event
3rd Offense - 10pt penalty, loss of 1 chase pt, EOL to start next event
4th Offense - 15pt penalty, loss of 5 chase pts, Drive-Through to start next event
5th+ Offense - DQ from the current event
This penalty scale will apply for the whole season, meaning removal from this scale will only be completed at the end of the season.
Penalties are at the discretion of league administration - do not put admins in a position to require them to make a call.
Intentional wrecking is NOT PERMITTED in any form. We expect drivers to settle their differences in a professional and respectful manner.
1st offense - mandatory 1 week suspension from points-paying races.
2nd offense - suspension for the remainder of the current season.
3rd offense - ban.
Suspensions stemming from the season finale will be served at the following-season’s opener.
Race Manipulation penalties (e.g. intentionally bringing out a caution) will follow the same scale as listed under Rule 6.4.3 - Intentional Wrecking.
Any incidents on the last lap of a race will be reviewed and race results will be adjusted to reflect any penalties. We do not want to over-police incidents on the last lap but egregious incidents will result in penalties up to and including DQs.
Race Reviews will be completed prior to posting of the race results (The Official SCRL Results Report).
Drivers are allowed to fight to remain on the lead lap but are expected to be predictable.
Inside 20 laps to go, we request that lap cars yield the racing line to the leaders. We want the leaders to fight for the win and not have the win dictated by a lap car.
Under caution, drivers are expected to maintain control of their vehicles on the racing surface. Excessive use of the apron while pacing may result in an EOL.
Tire cooling exploits - don't do it (stay off the grass).
Excessive Post-Race contact is not permitted (ex. Full-Throttling into the wall/another car). We expect drivers to show professionalism in all broadcasted events.
Off-Track Conduct
Live Broadcast Interviews
The top-3 finishing drivers must make themselves available on Discord post-race for broadcast interviews, failure to do so will result in a forfeiture in all bonus points awarded during the race.
Drivers who are using the radio in a way deemed unsuitable by Race Control are subject to a verbal warning. If the warned driver does not cease the behavior, they may be muted for the remainder of the race. This is especially enforced during the first laps of a caution period when catching the pace car.
Unsuitable behavior includes:
“Blocking” the radio by holding the Push-to-Talk button for extended periods of time.
Frequent chatter unrelated to the race itself.
Long and/or Frequent commentary on events of the race.
Excessive profanity (including insulting other drivers).
Subject to Change
Any of these rules are subject to change at any point in time by Stock Car Racing League administration without prior consultation.
If an amendment is made, the administration will alert the community on Discord and a new revised copy of the rulebook will be issued.
Appeals
Penalties can be appealed within 48 hours of a penalty announcement.
Drivers must reach out to an administrator and make themselves available to discuss the incident in question with at least one administrator before the launch of the next event’s server (7pm ET the following Saturday).
Intentional wrecking penalties are not appealable. We have a Zero Tolerance Policy on that.
Series Administrators reserve the right to modify, add, or remove any of the above before, during, or after a race session or season.
